Wittmann to test 2012 Toro Rosso at Imola
– DTM champion Marco Wittmann will conduct his prize Formula 1 test in a two-year-old Toro Rosso at Imola on Thursday, BMW has confirmed.Wittmann, who switched from single-seater racing at the end of the 2011 season, won four races en route to clinching this year's DTM title.BMW announced last month that it would be arranging the test as a reward for his efforts, made possible by the brand's partnership with Red Bull.It has now been confirmed that Wittmann will sample Toro Rosso's STR7, driven by Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-Éric Vergne during the 2012 season, at the former San Marino Grand Prix venue.Wittmann will return to DTM next season to defend his crown.
