The Alternative Review: Abu Dhabi

So there we have it. The 2014 Formula 1 season has now come to a close after concluding at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. Lewis Hamilton’s lightning start saw him take the lead from his title rival Nico Rosberg into Turn 1. The two Mercedes drivers kept in close proximity until a mid-race ERS failure caused Rosberg to drop back. With his team-mate falling down the order, Hamilton was able to control his pace and take the chequered flag 2.5 seconds clear of Felipe Massa, winning his 11th race of the season and clinching his second F1 title.
