Abu Dhabi extends GP deal

Sutton Images Enlarge The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix has extended its contract to remain on the F1 calendar beyond 2016. The first race was held in 2009 and the circuit hosted the season finale the following year in 2010. Once again it hosts the final race of the season this year and has now renewed its contract beyond the expiry of its current deal in 2016. "Abu Dhabi has played an important part in pioneering the modern era of Formula One racing," Bernie Ecclestone, CEO of Formula One group of companies.
