Ferrari announce three-year deal with Vettel

Ferrari has officially confirmed that Sebastian Vettel will race for the team in the next three season with the four-time world champion to replace Fernando Alonso. Vettel had announced in early October that he was to leave Red Bull at the end of the season but his future team wasn't made public at the time. 'Ferrari has decided to put its faith in the youngest multiple champion in the history of Formula 1,' said team principal Marco Mattiacci. Alonso, 33, had a contract with Ferrari till the end of the 2016 season but after five fruitless years at Maranello the Spaniard's agreement was ended prematurely.
