Smaller teams call for talks in Abu Dhabi

+ Formula 1’s smaller teams have called for talks with F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix to discuss how the sport’s revenues are currently distributed. The collapse of Caterham and Marussia ahead of the United States Grand Prix prompted calls from Force India, Lotus and Sauber for an immediate rethink of the way Formula 1’s vast revenue is distributed in an effort to safeguard the smaller teams on the grid. However, following unsuccessful talks in Austin and Brazil, the three midfield teams  submitted a letter – written by Force India deputy team principal Bob Fernley – to Ecclestone, FIA president Jean Todt and to all six team principals on Monday...
