Ericsson terminates Caterham contract

Marcus Ericsson, who recently announced that he will race for Sauber next year, has terminated his contract with the Caterham F1 Team. The Swedish rookie joined the Leafield-based outfit at the start of the 2014 season after four years racing in feeder series GP2. After a tough start, he consistently improved throughout the season and put in some strong performances. However, after entering administration last month, Caterham was given dispensation to miss the last two races in the USA and Brazil whilst new investment is found.
