Caterham crowdfunding project hits 50%

– The Caterham crowdfunding initiative is now at 50% of its target as the team attempts to return to the grid for the final round in Abu Dhabi.Accountancy firm Smith & Williamson, which took over the outfit last month, has been trying to find new investment after being given dispensation to miss the United States and Brazilian Grands Prix.It has set a target of £2.35 million to be reached by this Friday, November 14 (one week before Abu Dhabi) and is now halfway to meeting it, thanks to the support of over 3000 backers.The initiative was launched four days ago on Friday November 7.
