Ricciardo confirms suspension failure responsible for retirement

Daniel Ricciardo has confirmed that a suspension failure was responsible for his retirement on lap 39 on the Brazilian Grand Prix, after the Australian was forced to limp back to the pits with an issue on his car. Although his streak of finishing 15 consecutive races in the points has now ended, Ricciardo remained in high spirits after his retirement. After starting the race down in ninth position after a frustrating qualifying session the day before, RIcciardo initially struggled to rise through the order during the early stages of the race as he remained in ninth position before dropping further down after his first pit-stop.
