F1: Red Bull closer to Mercedes here, says Ricciardo

Daniel Ricciardo says the “early signs are good” for Red Bull following Friday practice for the Brazilian Grand Prix and he believes they are the closest they have been to Mercedes for a while. Ricciardo was tenth quickest in FP1 this morning, before improving and ending the day fourth overall in FP2, 0.260 seconds off Kimi Raikkonen in third and 0.833 seconds off the pace setting Mercedes of Nico Rosberg. “The early signs are good.
