Rosberg tops opening session in Brazil
Mercedes AMG Petronas
Nico Rosberg topped the first practice session for the Brazilian Grand Prix on Friday morning at a newly-resurfaced Interlagos.
Rosberg’s time of 1:12.764 was two-tenths of a second quicker than Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton, with the title rivals comfortably clear at the top of the standings.
Daniil Kvyat was third quickest for Toro Rosso, ahead of Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa.
2015 Toro Rosso signing Max Verstappen was sixth quickest, ahead of Pastor Maldonado and Kimi Räikkönen.
Kevin Magnussen and Daniel Ricciardo rounded out the top 10.
Several drivers struggled for grip on the Medium tyres, with Räikkönen, Verstappen and Force India reserve driver...
