Hamilton: McLaren should keep Button for 2015

+ Lewis Hamilton has urged his former McLaren team to retain Jenson Button for next season. Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso has been heavily linked with a return to McLaren for 2015, leaving Button and team-mate Kevin Magnussen in the dark over their futures with the team. Button revealed on Thursday that after a lengthy wait, there was no guarantee that he would resign for McLaren should the team offer him a new deal at this late stage of the season. “If I had a team, I would want him in it because he's a great asset,” said Hamilton, Button’s team-mate at McLaren between 2010 and 2012. “It's not that the team need a better driver, there are not many out there.
