McLaren give Alonso deadline to accept $88 million deal

Fernando Alonso smiling all the way to the bank McLaren has reportedly warned Fernando Alonso he is running out of time to commit to the British team for the 2015 Formula 1 season, despite offering the Spaniard a massive retainer for his services to spearhead their new Honda era. Media reports in the last days have suggested the Spaniard, whose five-year stint at Ferrari appears definitely over, has now decided to re-join McLaren to spearhead the team's new works Honda era, in what is supposedly a contract for two years with a total value of $88 million.
