Wolff: Double points could overshadow 2014 season
+ Mercedes boss Toto Wolff says the 2014 season could be overshadowed should the double points finale in Abu Dhabi unduly decide the title.
Lewis Hamilton secured his fifth win on the bounce in Sunday’s United States Grand Prix, his 10th victory of the season, to stretch his championship advantage over Nico Rosberg to 24 points.
The largest lead Hamilton can now take into final round is 49 points, meaning Rosberg could fail to finish in Brazil and mathematically remain in slim contention for the title in Abu Dhabi.
“I have no fear about what might happen in Abu Dhabi, but I think the last race with double points does have the potential to overshadow the season,” Wolff told the media...
