Vergne given five-second post-race penalty for Grosjean incident
Toro Rossos Jean-Eric Vergne has been handed a five-second post-race penalty for his collision with Lotuss Romain Grosjean during Sundays 2014 Formula 1 United States Grand Prix, dropping him from ninth to tenth in the results. The incident in question occurred on Lap 51 of the race as Vergne banged into the side of Grosjeans Renault-powered machine as he forcefully made his way past at Turn 1.
