Hamilton fastest in US GP first practice

Lewis Hamilton finished first practice for the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas at the top of the timesheets, finishing three tenths clear of his team-mate Nico Rosberg. Just 18 cars took to the track in first practice, following the news prior to the race weekend that Marussia and Caterham would not be competing in Austin, Texas, after both teams went into administration.
