Five-place gearbox penalty for Button
Jenson Button will take a five-place gearbox penalty at this weekend's United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas.
Drivers must use a gearbox for six consecutive events under the current regulations, with an early switch resulting in a penalty.
McLaren has confirmed that Button will drop five places on the grid at the Circuit of the Americas due to an unscheduled gearbox change.
The Woking-based outfit will be hoping to continue its recent improved form, with Jenson Button and Kevin Magnussen finishing fourth and fifth at the last race in Russia.
