Mercedes awarded the Dewar Trophy

– Mercedes has been awarded the Dewar Trophy for producing the best Power Unit under the new 2014 regulations.The Mercedes-Benz PU106A Hybrid Power Unit has been dominant this season, with Mercedes winning 13 of the 16 races so far, as well as clinching its maiden Constructors' title in Russia.It is the second time Mercedes has taken the Trophy as the team at Brixworth also won it for its pioneering work on the KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) Hybrid unit that was introduced in 2009."It is an honour to accept the Dewar Trophy on behalf of my colleagues at Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrains and on behalf of Mercedes-Benz," said Andy Cowell, Managing Director,...
