Marussia now in administration, to miss U.S. GP

Marussia became the second team after Caterham to have gone into administration and consequently will not attend the United States Grand Prix this weekend, it was announced on Monday. Current owner Andrey Cheglakov was “unable to provide the required level of funding” despite the efforts of senior management to try and rope in new investment to secure the team’s long term future. The administrators assessed that it wasn’t viable for the team to participate in the U.S. GP and its entry in the final two races in Brazil and Abu Dhabi “will depend on the outcome of the administration process and any related negotiations with interested parties in what is a very...
