FIA F3 champion Ocon to test for Lotus F1 Team
+ Lotus junior racer Esteban Ocon will test a two-year old Lotus F1 car later this month as a prize for winning the European Formula 3 series.
Ocon, will run the team’s E20, used by Kimi Raikkonen to win the 2012 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, during a two-day test at Spain’s Valencia circuit on October 22-23.
The Frenchman took an unassailable championship lead from future Toro Rosso Formula 1 racer Max Verstappen in the European Formula 3 series during last weekend’s race at the Imola circuit, securing the title with three races still left to run. “Esteban is a tremendous talent for the future,” said Lotus boss Gerard Lopez. “He has shown himself to be a superb driver as part of our...
