Wolff promises new Mercedes deal for Hamilton

+ Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff has confirmed that the team will offer Lewis Hamilton a new deal at the end of the season. Talks between Mercedes and Hamilton – who has a year left to run of his original three-year deal – were put on hold following the controversial clash between the Englishman and his team-mate Nico Rosberg at the Belgian Grand Prix, with the team opting to delay negotiations until the conclusion of the championship. Rosberg signed a new two-year deal in May, and Hamilton’s lack of a contract beyond 2015 has seen suggestions that Fernando Alonso, who is widely tipped to quit Ferrari, is interested in a seat with the newly crowned 2014 constructors’...
