Mercedes wraps up the constructors' title

Mercedes has taken the 2014 Formula 1 constructors' title after a one-two in today's Russian Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton dominated the event, with Nico Rosberg recovering from a mistake and an early pit stop to take the runner-up spot. The team needed to score 25 points or more in the race to take the championship. In the end the Brackley-based outfit scored the maximum 43 points available. Mercedes now has 565 points in the championship, 223 ahead of Red Bull Racing. It is the first time that Mercedes has won the constructors' title, which was introduced back in 1958.
