Hamilton is quicker, admits Rosberg

Mercedes AMG Petronas Nico Rosberg has admitted that Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton deserved pole position for the Russian Grand Prix after having the edge for much of the weekend. Hamilton lapped the Sochi Autodrom two-tenths of a second faster than Rosberg, with the German somewhat fortunate to hold on to second place after Valtteri Bottas made an error. "Today Lewis was quicker, all weekend really," said Rosberg. "I've been working hard to get close but didn't manage to get closer than those two tenths now, but that's the way it is and I need to accept that. I also had the Williams of Valtteri coming up and going quick also, so needed to keep an eye on that....
