Ricciardo predicts ‘damage limitation’ after tough start

Daniel Ricciardo says there is 'a bit of work ahead' for himself and the Red Bull Racing team after a difficult start to the Russian Grand Prix was compounded by a suspected power unit failure in FP2. The Australian's RB10 came to a halt with just seven minutes of the FP2 session remaining, though Red Bull has confirmed it was a practice engine and will not be used again this year, meaning no penalty. Indeed, it was a tough day all round for both Ricciardo and Sebastian Vettel with the three-time race winner being bumped down to 13th position by the chequered flag on a day that saw Mercedes-powered cars fill six of the top seven positions.
