Rosberg sets the pace in Sochi first practice

Nico Rosberg set the pace in the first practice session of the inaugural Russian Grand Prix at the Sochi Autodrom, from his team-mate Lewis Hamilton. A dark cloud hung over the F1 paddock following the Jules Bianchi's serious accident in Japan. Marussia confirmed on Friday morning, just before the start of first practice, that the team will run just one car in Russia, out of respect for the Frenchman. Fernando Alonso was the first driver to take to the Sochi Autodrom on an F1 race weekend. The Spaniard was followed out of the pit lane by Nico Hulkenberg, Kimi Raikkonen, Max Chilton and Romain Grosjean.
