Lotus to use Mercedes power from 2015

Lotus F1 Team Lotus has confirmed that it is switching from Renault to Mercedes Power Units from the start of the 2015 campaign. The Enstone-based team has used Renault engines for two decades but McLaren's decision to move to Honda power for 2015 allowed Mercedes to supply another outfit and Lotus has opted to make the switch. "We are pleased to have been chosen by Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains in a significant long term deal," said Lotus CEO Matthew Carter.
