Caterham confirms Kobayashi to race in Russia; Merhi drives in FP1

+ Caterham has confirmed that Kamui Kobayahi will partner Marcus Ericsson at the team for this weekend’s Russian Grand Prix. Kobayashi was dropped by Caterham for the Belgian Grand Prix last month for Le Mans winner Andre Lotterer and has since driven with the team on a race-by-race basis, with his appearance in Russia his fourth in a row. Roberto Merhi, who has been rumoured as a possible replacement for Kobayashi since he debuted in practice in Monza, will take part in his third session with the team this weekend, standing in for the Japanese racer. “It’s always extremely exciting to race at a new circuit,” Kobayashi said. “I had a chance to do a few laps of this new Russian...
