Ecclestone calls for inquiry into Bianchi's Japanese GP accident
+ Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone has called for an independent inquiry following Jules Bianchi’s Japanese Grand Prix accident.
Bianchi collided with a recovery vehicle on the 44th lap of Sunday’s race at Suzuka and was rushed to hospital where it was found he had suffered severe head injuries.
The Frenchman remains in hospital following surgery, prompting FIA president Jean Todt to reportedly request a “complete and detailed” report from race director Charlie Whiting “in order to understand exactly the accident that occurred”.
