Vergne 'needs time' to digest Red Bull snub

Sutton Images Enlarge Jean-Eric Vergne says it will take time to understand why Red Bull overlooked him for Sebastian Vettel's vacant seat by promoting rookie Daniil Kvyat. Vergne was passed over for Daniel Ricciardo last year in the wake of Mark Webber's retirement, and has since lost his 2015 seat to Max Verstappen. While Vergne joined Toro Rosso in 2012, team-mate Kvyat is still in his rookie season and has just to 14 races to his name as of Saturday - the day Red Bull's stunning announcement was made.
