Horner: We did not consider Alonso for Red Bull

Christian Horner, Helmut Marko and Sebastian Vettel Red Bull have decided to replace outgoing Sebastian Vettel with promising rookie Daniil Kvyat and team boss Christian Horner admits that Fernando Alonso was never considered as an option to join the fizzy drinks team. Asked if Alonso was ever considered as a replacement, Horner said, 'The reality is not really. Fernando is a wonderful driver, but our philosophy is to invest inwardly, invest in youth and give youngsters a chance.'
