Gutierrez apologises for practice shunt

Sutton Images Enlarge Esteban Gutierrez has apologised to Sauber for crashing during the second practice session at the Japanese Grand Prix. Gutierrez lost control of the car at the high-speed Spoon corner and crashed into the barriers damaging the front wing. He admitted he made a mistake and is hoping to make up for it in qualifying on Saturday. "Unfortunately, I lost the car in the second practice session in turn 13," he said. "With the speed you get there it was difficult to avoid an impact. I am really sorry for the team, and I am sure we will recover for qualifying.
