Bianchi ready to step up to Ferrari should Alonso leave

+ Jules Bianchi says he is ready to step up to Ferrari, after two seasons with Marussia, should a seat become available. Fernando Alonso’s future has been the subject of rampant speculation in recent weeks, with the Spaniard strongly linked to a return to McLaren, which would leave an opening at Ferrari alongside Kimi Raikkonen. Bianchi – a longtime member of the Ferrari Driver Academy – believes he would be the ‘logical’ replacement for Alonso, should the Spaniard leave the Scuderia at the end of the season. “Of course I feel ready,” Bianchi said during Thursday’s press conference at Suzuka. “I have been working on that since I joined the academy in 2009.”...
