Substance contamination caused Rosberg failure

– Mercedes has revealed that a freak substance contamination contributed to Nico Rosberg's retirement from last weekend's Singapore Grand Prix.Rosberg was forced to retire from the race following a steering wheel column loom failure, leaving him three points adrift of Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton with five rounds remaining.But Mercedes has now revealed more information explaining why Rosberg's race in Singapore was truncated prematurely.'Forensic analysis has revealed that the steering column electronic circuits were contaminated with a foreign substance', read a Mercedes statement.'This occurred during our normal pre-event servicing procedures at the factory and the substance...
