Mercedes: We don't want the title decided by car failure
Nico Rosberg pushed off the grid in Singapore
In the aftermath of a bittersweet Singapore Grand Prix, Mercedes have pledged it will do all it can to prevent poor reliability deciding the destiny of this year's drivers' world championship.
The pledge came after a broken wiring loom forced Nico Rosberg to retire from the race at Marina Bay Circuit which was won by his title rival and team-mate Lewis Hamilton.
The Briton's win enabled him to leap three points clear of Rosberg in the championship with five races remaining.
Despite Hamilton's latest success the Mercedes team are deeply concerned that component failures can wreck one of the most thrilling title duels in recent times.
