Button pins Q2 exit on lock-up

McLaren Mercedes McLaren driver Jenson Button copped the blame for being knocked out of qualifying during the second segment, although reckons his mistake did not cost him too many positions. Button locked up on his flying lap in Q2 and ended the session in 11th position, but with team-mate Kevin Magnussen ending in ninth place, the Brit did not feel much more progress was possible. "Not making the cut into Q3 is disappointing, especially considering the strong progress we’d made during Q1," he said.
