Ricciardo aiming to challenge Mercedes duo

Red Bull/Getty Images Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo says he plans to take the fight to Mercedes pair Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg in the Singapore Grand Prix. Ricciardo was third fastest in qualifying, two-tenths of a second behind pole sitter Hamilton. While wary that the confines of a street circuit could restrict his progress, Ricciardo is nonetheless sure that he can challenge the Mercedes duo. "Coming into the weekend we thought that if we could be within two or three tenths of Mercedes then there was a realistic chance to stay with them in the race," he said.
