Hamilton surprised by rivals pace

Mercedes AMG Petronas Lewis Hamilton admitted he was surprised by the pace of Mercedes's rivals during qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix. Hamilton claimed pole position for the race, ahead of team-mate Nico Rosberg, but the pair were only a couple of tenths ahead of Red Bull duo Daniel Ricciardo and Sebastian Vettel, with Ferrari's Fernando Alonso and Williams's Felipe Massa close behind.
