Hamilton beats Rosberg to pole by 0.007s in Singapore

Sutton Images Enlarge Lewis Hamilton just beat Nico Rosberg to pole position at the Singapore Grand Prix after pipping his title rival by 0.007s on his final run. The qualifying hour had looked remarkably open, with Ferrari in the mix during the first two sessions and Felipe Massa taking provisional pole after the first run in Q3. However, when it came down to it, both Mercedes drivers upped the pace and took first and second ahead of the two Red Bulls. Hamilton's lap was far from perfect as he had to deal with a nasty lock-up into the first corner, but he went on to recover and just managed to beat Rosberg to pole.
