Alonso and Ricciardo top final practice in Singapore

Sutton Images Enlarge Fernando Alonso built on Ferrari's impressive Friday practice pace by topping the final practice session at the Singapore Grand Prix. Neither Mercedes was in the top two as Alonso finished the session 0.051 faster than Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo in second. Nico Rosberg was third fastest and 0.189s off Alonso, while Lewis Hamilton locked up and ran wide at Turn 13 on his fast lap, meaning he had to settle for the sixth fastest time. The chemical nature of the super-soft compound means it only offers one fast lap before losing grip, so both Rosberg and Hamilton will have to wait until qualifying to see what they can manage with a clean lap.
