Alonso tops final Singapore session

Scuderia Ferrari Fernando Alonso set the fastest time during the final practice session ahead of qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix. Alonso’s time of 1:47.299 was 0.051s clear of Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo, while Nico Rosberg – who led the way during early running on Prime tyres – was third. Jean-Éric Vergne put in a late lap to claim fourth position, with reigning world champion Sebastian Vettel in fifth place. Lewis Hamilton had a scruffy session as he suffered a half-spin and ran wide on his hot lap on his way to sixth.
