Hamilton ends Friday on top at Singapore

Lewis Hamilton set the fastest time during the second free practice session at Singapore, narrowly edging out Fernando Alonso who earler today went fastest in the first session. Red Bull Racing driver Daniel Ricciardo was third fastest around the street circuit. Highlight of the session was a heavy crash for Pastor Maldonado, badly damaging his Lotus E22 against the wall at Turn 10. The Venezuelan lost control on the entry of the corner as the rear end of his car snapped away from him. Earlier in the session, Sebastian Vettel had completely different issues as he was sidelined with an engine problem that the team found out about at the end of FP1.
