Singapore FP1: Alonso shakes up the pecking order

Fernando Alonso fastest at the end of FP1 in Singapore Twice a winner at the street venue, Fernando Alonso was in scintillating form as he blasted his Ferrari around the Marina Bay Circuit to set the fastest lap in the first free practice of the Singapore Grand Prix weekend. It will probably mean little in the bigger context of the race weekend but neverthless the achievement notable at this point of proceedings, Alonso's best time was 0.122 of a second up on Lewis Hamilton in the Mercedes who was next best, ahead of title rival and teammate Nico Rosberg. But quite remarkably the Spaniard was 1.7 seconds up on his Ferrari teammate Kimi Raikkonen who ended the session seventh fastest....
