FIA details radio message limitations

The FIA has revised its restrictions on radio and pit board messages from the team to the driver following a meeting with team principals ahead of the Singaporean Grand Prix weekend. Initial plans stipulated last week noted that any messages related to car and driver performance would be banned, based on Article 20.1 of the sporting regulations.This states that 'the driver must drive the car alone and unaided”. Following team input, the FIA has now decided to postpone the ban on car information to the drivers, especially because it may have differing effects between teams, creating a possible disadvantage for some.
