Renault expects fuel to be a factor in Singapore
Renault Sport F1's Remi Taffin believes teams will be “right on the limit” of the 100kg fuel allowance in the Singapore Grand Prix. So far there has been little sign of drastic fuel saving during 2014 following the reduction in the maximum amount of fuel permitted for a race. However, despite the impressive efficiency of this year's cars, Taffin explained that the nature of the Singapore street circuit leads to high levels of fuel consumption which could prove an issue on Sunday. “Singapore stands in stark contrast to the high speed tracks we have just visited,” Taffin said. “It has 23 corners, the highest number of any track on the calendar, with several hard braking points over...
