Mercedes confirms Wehrlein as reserve driver

+ Mercedes has confirmed 19-year old DTM race winner Pacal Wehrlein as its reserve driver. Wehrlein, who made history on Sunday at the Lausitzring to become the youngest ever winner in the DTM, has already completed more than 30 days of running – over 312,000km – in the Mercedes simulator this season. The German had his first taste of a Formula 1 car last week at the Algarve circuit in Portimao, Portugal, completing 500km at the wheel of Mercedes’ 2012 car, the W03, and will accompany the team to Singapore as its official reserve driver. “For me, it is a nice recognition of my efforts that I have been nominated as reserve driver for MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS,” Wehrlein said....
