Mallya vows to fight McLaren ‘to the wire’

Force India team principal Vijay Mallya says he will fight McLaren “down to the wire” for fifth place in the constructors' championship. Sergio Perez's seventh pace in Italy ahead of both McLarens reduced the deficit to just one point between the two teams, with Force India having dropped behind after the Belgian Grand Prix. When asked by Crash.net if he is willing to commit resources to fight all the way to the end of the season, Mallya replied: “Oh yes, absolutely. “I'm competing fiercely with McLaren and it's going to be down to the wire!
