FIA issue strict clampdown on radio messages between teams and drivers

+ Formula One’s governing body, the FIA, has issued a strict clampdown on radio transmissions which are sent between the senior team members on the pit-wall and the drivers on the track, following a meeting with the F1 Strategy Group last weekend. The clampdown in question was issued to the team’s in the form of a technical directive on Wednesday night from the sport’s race director Charlie Whiting, which stipulated that no further conversations were to be permitted during a race weekend which will assist the driver on how to drive his car.
