Williams expects to be closer than ever

– Williams should be the closest it has been to Mercedes all season in Sunday's Italian Grand Prix, according to Chief Technical Officer Pat Symonds.Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa were the biggest threat to the Silver Arrows machines in qualifying, locking out the second row of the grid.And while Symonds admits the duo are unlikely to make progress during the race, he hopes to keep Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg on their toes."It's exactly what we expected or certainly hoped for," Symonds told GPUpdate.net, reflecting on the team's qualifying performance."I didn't think we could challenge Mercedes.
