FP3 - Hamilton edges Alonso in Italy as Rosberg hits trouble

Lewis Hamilton kept Mercedes at the top of the timesheets on Saturday morning at Monza, but it wasn’t all plain sailing for the Silver Arrows as the Briton’s team mate Nico Rosberg suffered a gearbox issue which prevented him from even setting a time.Hamilton set a rapid pace on the hard tyre, lapping in 1m 25.742s which was nearly two-tenths of a second quicker than Fernando Alonso managed for Ferrari on the medium compound. Later, on the medium tyre, Hamilton pared down to 1m 25.519s, giving Mercedes an advantage of 0.412s. Hamilton though complained of brake problems and a lack of DRS at one stage.
