Ferrari want power unit freeze to be lifted

Ferrari are pushing to have the power unit freeze lifted to allow manufacturers to work freely on their engines. The idea was discussed during a meeting of team bosses at the Belgian Grand Prix, with the talks instigated by Ferrari's Marco Mattiacci. At present, a manufacturer may only develop their engines for reliability purposes following the pre-season homologation. Mattiacci wants that changed for future seasons. "I would like a certain amount of opportunities a year to work on the engine," he told N.
