Rosberg fends off Hamilton for pole in Belgium

SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS, August 23rd, 2014 (F1Plus / Rosie Baillie) - Nico Rosberg took his seventh pole position of the year at the Belgian Grand Prix. Heavy rain before qualifying and light showers during meant drivers ran the session on full wets and intermediate tyres. Rosberg and teammate Lewis Hamilton took turns being fastest but after the chequered flag fell it was Rosberg who was quickest. Hamilton was 0.228s slower than his teammate and will start second on the grid ahead of Sebastian Vettel. Fernando Alonso had a strong session and split the Red Bulls.
